Tonghand | Drill Rod Handling & Connection Tool

The Tonghand is an attachment for handling drill rods and making or breaking threaded connections during HDD operations. A single operator controls the attachment from the excavator cab, positioning the rods and tightening or loosening connections. Telescopic arms with rollers grip and support the drill rod, allowing the operator to lift, tilt, move and rotate it into position. The attachment can be used to position an individual rod or a connected drill string, bringing rod handling and connection work together in one tool.
